The famous Dwarka Expressway's Haryana segment will be formally inaugurated by PM Modi, which will assist reduce traffic congestion and enhance circulation on National Highway-48 between Delhi and Gurugram.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for 112 national highway projects worth ₹1 lakh crore throughout the country today at a ceremony in Gurugram.
The famous Dwarka Expressway's Haryana segment will be officially opened by the Prime Minister, according to an official announcement. This would assist reduce delays on National Highway-48 between Delhi and Gurugram and enhance traffic flow.

— Narendra Modi (@narendramodi)The construction of the eight-lane Dwarka Expressway's 19-km Haryana segment, which comprises a pair of sections of 10.2-km-long Delhi-Haryana Border to Basai Rail-over-Bridge (ROB) and 8.7-km-long Basai ROB to Kherki Daula, cost around ₹ 4,100 crore. Additionally, it will also provide straight transportation to Delhi's IGI Airport and the Gurugram Bypass.
In the meantime, the Dwarka Expressway's opening has prompted the Delhi Traffic Police to issue an alert stating that Monday's traffic will be controlled in certain Dwarka locations. Certain places, such as Dhulsiras Chowk, Sector 8-9 crossing, Carmel Chowk Sector-20, Janki Chowk near Sector-23 police station, and Pochanpur flyover Sector-23 Chowk, are urged to be avoided by passengers.
Traffic Advisory
In view of the inauguration of Dwarka expressway (UER-II) by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India on 11.03.2024 at Sector-25, Dwarka, traffic movement will be regulated/diverted from 08:00 AM to 02:00 PM.

In addition, there will be traffic control in the area of the Pacific Mall cut, the Sector-21 metro station, and the Transport Authority office. There will also be disruptions to the routes from Bharthal Chowk to Dhulsiras Chowk and Chhawla Road, as well as from Golf Course Road to Dhulsiras Chowk and Bamnoli.
It is advised that people who are going to the hospital, train station, or ISBTs should arrange their transportation ahead of time.
Furthermore, PM Modi is set to inaugurate 42 projects totaling ₹ 20,500 crore in various states throughout the nation, including the Kiratpur-to-Nerchowk section of NH-21 (two packages) worth approximately ₹ 3,400 crore in Himachal Pradesh and the Dobaspet-Heskote section (two packages) worth ₹ 2,750 crore in Karnataka.
The foundation stones will be laid for major projects worth ₹ 14,000 crore in Andhra Pradesh (14 packages of the Bengaluru-Kadappa-Vijayawada Expressway); ₹ 8,000 crore in Karnataka (6 packages of the Belgaum-Hungund-Raichur Section of NH-748A); ₹ 4,900 crore in Haryana (3 packages of the Shamli-Ambala Highway); and ₹ 3,800 crore in Punjab (2 packages of the Amritsar-Bathia corridor).
