Vandana Sufia Katoch on Facebook talked about how her son struggled with few subjects during the preparation time and still mastered the courage to give his best during the exam

New Delhi: The time that all students hate has come at last—the month of board results. With the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) declaring Class 10 and Class 12 results, it is a maddening race. All that is going to matter for a few days is who scored more 90%.

Though we all respect our parents' dreams about us, sometimes these dreams become little stifling. What if a child cannot score good marks? Will any college accept him or her?

While a Kolkata boy topped ICSE exams with 100% marks, another boy was beaten up badly by his father for not scoring full A plus in the SSLC exam.

Within this cut-throat competition, a story of a mother and her son went viral.

On the day CBSE Class X results were announced, Vandana Sufia Katoch took to Facebook to share a heart-touching story about her son who scored 60% in the exam.

Katoch talked about how her son struggled with few subjects during the preparation time and still mastered the courage to give his best during the exam.

The post garnered more than 10,000 reactions, 1,200 comes and more than 5, 000 shares at the time of writing the article.

While one user wrote, “U opened my eyes! Will happily post my son’s marks too next year! Whatever the results may be!!”, another person said, “Scores are just numbers... Everyone has their own benchmark. You just need to be your own benchmark. First you have to live with healthy mind ( which is going down in ppl ) and healthy body. I do understand your journey boy and even your mother, I too have a girl who is not good in academics. I always believed every child is unique... So no comparison just be yourself and set your own bench mark. Salute to your mom and your effort.....”.
