New Delhi: Mamata Banerjee has done it again. The Bengal chief minister lost her cool after hearing 'Jai Shri Ram' chant in Bengal on Thursday, the second time in a month. Banerjee not only got down from her vehicle and threatened but also instructed police officials to find out the offenders by checking every house.

The incident has come to light from Bhatpara area of Barrackpore Lok Sabha constituency, which has that has already seen widespread violence including a BJP cadre's alleged murder in the last few days.

The Trinamool chief was on her way to Bhatpara for a 'satyagraha' event that was planned for 1 PM. Banerjee lost her cool when she heard "Jai Shri Ram" chant as her car zoomed past a local jute mill, say eyewitnesses.

However, Banerjee alleged that her car was attacked and she was abused as well. She was also seen shouting, "You are at our pittance. But yet you have the audacity to create ruckus? You are alive because of us."

Banerjee didn't stop at this. She reportedly ordered the cops present to note down the names (of the offenders). “Go to each and every house and arrest those who are creating this ruckus,” she added.

Reports suggest when Banerjee was about to leave after passing instructions to the police officers, “Jai Shri Ram" was chanted again at her. The chief minister again got off her car and reportedly shouted, "Come here in front of me. I dare you." She also reportedly called them "outsiders".

This is not the first time Banerjee got irked by "Jai Shri Ram" slogans. Earlier while on her way to chandrakona, during the Lok Sabha election, she objected to similar chants which gave the BJP an opportunity to portray her as 'anti-Hindu'.

In fact, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in one of his rallies in Bengal dared Banerjee by saying, "Didi has thrown people in jail for chanting 'Jai Shri Ram'. I thought of saying Jai Shri Ram here today so that she can throw me inside jail too. That way, the people of Bengal might be protected from the wrath of the TMC regime".
