Shiv Sena is adamant about Aaditya Thackeray being made the chief minister of Maharashtra, while seeking equal Cabinet berths. Sena MLAs lashed out against Thackeray family's influence in politics. After around three weeks of political drama, President's rule was imposed in Maharashtra on Tuesday.

Mumbai: Latest reports claim the hotel-bound 17 Shiv Sena MLAs are all set to revolt for holding party to ransom while demanding chief ministership for Aaditya Thackeray.

The Shiv Sena has lodged most of the MLAs in The Retreat Hotel in Malad.

Meanwhile, sources claim that Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has instructed party men not to utter a word against the BJP.

Currently, Maharashtra is under the President's rule as none of the parties (BJP, Shiv Sena, NCP) could form the government post the Assembly elections held in October this year.

Though BJP emerged as the single largest party with 105 MLAs, it is short of MLAs to form the government in the 288-member Assembly.

Shiv Sena has won 56 seats followed by NCP that has won 54 seats and Congress has secured 44 seats.

Shiv Sena broke ties with BJP-led NDA in Maharashtra when its demand for chief ministerial post and equal Cabinet berths was refused by the BJP.

Shiv Sena's talks with NCP and Congress are going nowhere as the parties are not able to come to a consensus.

Shiv Sena is adamant on the chief minister's post and wants Aaditya Thackeray to take the position.

This led to imposition of the President's rule in Maharashtra on November 12.

This has angered the Shiv Sena MLAs who have blamed party leaders for focussing only on the Thackeray family.

Reports claim that MLAs in the hotel are demanding to be sent back to their constituencies.

MLAs even got engaged in abusive arguments that led to fights.

MLAs are said to have told chief Uddhav Thackeray that alliance with NCP is not a good idea as party chief Sharad Pawar is likely to take away all lucrative Cabinet positions.

However, BJP has maintained that even if BJP-Shiv Sena came to power, Devendra Fadnavis  will be the chief minister.
