Karnataka coalition crisis: CM Kumaraswamy seeks 2 more days’ time for trust vote

Synopsis

With a view to buy more time, CM Kumaraswamy has met Speaker Ramesh and sought more time to take up trust vote. 

Bengaluru: It is learnt CM HD Kumaraswamy has met the Speaker Ramesh Kumar and sought 2 more days’ time to take up the trust vote. 

What gives more fillip to this request by the Speaker is that the Supreme Court has refused to entertain a plea by independent MLAs Nagesh and Shankar, asking the court to direct the CM to take up the floor test by 5 pm this (July 22) evening. 

It is further learnt that the Speaker has refused to entertain the request.
