Malik was shifted from a Jammu jail to Delhi on Tuesday after the National Investigation Agency secured a production warrant against him in connection with a terror and separatism funding case.
Srinagar/New Delhi: Chief of the banned Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Yasin Malik has been shifted to the highest-security zone of Delhi's Tihar jail. Intelligence sources said they were investigating his role in the murder of RSS leader Chandrakant Sharma in Kishtwar on Monday. Malik is accused of helping fund and abet terror in Kashmir and targeting the minority Hindu Pandits in the Valley.
The separatist leader was shifted from the Jammu jail to Delhi on Tuesday after the National Investigation Agency (NIA) secured a production warrant against him in connection with a terror and funding case.
Malik was sent to a high-security ward where he won't be allowed to meet people and will be kept under strict watch. He was apparently running his violent separatist agenda even from a Kashmir's jail, which is why he has been kept under such high security.
On Monday, local RSS leader Chandrakant Sharma and his personal security officer were killed in an attack by two armed terrorists inside the Kishtwar hospital just 100 metres away from the police station.

A police source in Kishtwar told MyNation that this attack was the third attempt to kill the RSS leader.
MyNation earlier had reported that Intelligence Bureau (IB) has warned Jammu and Kashmir's local administration to keep a watch on sensitive locations in the Valley after the government of India has imposed a ban on JKLF as it was expected that sympathisers and cadres associated with the banned organisation may disturb law and order situation in the Valley.
Jammu and Kashmir's ex-Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti had also raised questions over banning the organisation and has claimed that this would turn Kashmir into an open jail.
"Today (10.04.2019), in the J&K Terror Funding case, NIA arrested Yasin Malik, Chief of Jammu & Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), a proscribed terrorist organization and a constituent of All Party Hurriyat Conference (APHC). Yasin Malik was brought from Kot Bhalwal Jail, Jammu, where he has been detained under Public Safety Act, and produced before the NIA Special Court today against a production warrant. The NIA court has granted 13 days’ of NIA custody of the accused Yasin Malik.
He will now be produced before the NIA Special Court, Patiala House Court, New Delhi on 22.04.2019. Further investigation continues." NIA spokesperson said.
