Bengaluru: It might sound strange, but it’s true.
The Jaipur Metro has decided to rent its coaches for celebrations like birthdays, among others.
But why this move?
Well, it comes at a time when the corporation is suffering financial losses and wants to increase its revenue.
It is pertinent to note that coaches had been hired earlier for shoots and advertisements. This had also helped it earn greater income.
According to an official statement released on Thursday, the Jaipur Metro will charge Rs 5,000 for four hours and an additional 1,000 per extra hour.
Similarly, for four coaches, the charges will be Rs 20,000 per four hours and an additional 5,000 per hour.
It also stated that in association with an event management company, short-term advertisements through banners, stands and canopies have also been arranged at metro stations.
