Hyderabad: On May 23, police patrol on the ORR service road in Shambipur, Hyderabad, received a complaint by passersby stating that there’s foul smell emanating from a suitcase under the culvert. When the police went to the spot and opened the suitcase, they found a decomposed body of a woman.
According to police, the woman was murdered somewhere else and then her body was stuffed in a suitcase and dumped under the culvert. The woman was wearing a salwar kameez.
The body was found stuffed in the suitcase under a culvert near the Outer Ring Road in Dundigal. The Dundigal Police have sent the body to the Gandhi Hospital mortuary for postmortem and have registered a case under IPC Sections 302 and 201 and alerted their counterparts about the incident so in case there is a missing woman complaint they might identify the woman.
A similar case from Hyderabad had come to light on April 15 when the police found a woman techie's body after some locals spotted an abandoned suitcase close to a school in Dundigal, Hyderabad. The woman's boyfriend, accused of kidnapping and murdering her, has been arrested by the police.
