Bengaluru: Addressing a jampacked NRG stadium in Houston, Texas in the event Howdy, Modi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke on various topics of importance, affecting both the nations and kept the 50,000 plus audience spellbound.

Starting his address with the words “Howdy Houston” which incidentally were part of the name and venue of the event, Modi struck a chord with the assembled crowd, thereby leaving a lasting impression.

Next in line was his effort to showcase the ‘Unity in diversity’ principle that India prides herself in. Speaking in different languages that are spoken (Gujarati, Bengali, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam) in India, Modi reiterated to the assembled that in India, “everything was fine”.

From then on, there was no stopping the Prime Minister. From constructing 11 crore toilets to 150 million people getting gas connections to opening bank accounts to 100 percent families to people getting passports in a matter of weeks, Modi detailed all the endeavours his government had undertaken to help people better their lives.

The Prime Minister also had a word about a number of farewells that his government had given. Among them was farewell to open-defecation (to be declared on Gandhiji’s birthday later this year), red-tapism in doing business, but he made a special mention about the farewell (abrogation) given to Articles 370 and 35A. He even asked the assembly to give a standing ovation to the parliamentarians for taking up the most difficult issue and passing it unequivocally.

Using the same stage, the PM also hit out at Pakistan as he said “those who are unable to take care of their own country are concerned about Kashmir.”

The Prime Minister also made a mention of the steps taken to revive Indian economy with the help of axing the corporate taxes for Indian domestic companies.

In the end, he thanked President Trump for his cooperation in relation to terrorism and hoped it would continue in order to tackle many more challenges.
