Bengaluru: India's first television service provider, Doordarshan, turned 60 today (September 15). To mark the state-owned network's sixty years of service, Doordarshan took to Twitter and released a series of videos that highlighted its iconic programmes over the years.

The role of Shaktimaan was played by its producer, Mukesh Khanna, who was called as "Pandit Gangadhar Vidhyadhar Mayadhar Omkarnath Shastri", a newspaper photographer.
