New Delhi: A massive fire broke out at a garment showroom in Uttam Nagar region during the wee hours of Friday. At least 25 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames.
It was reported that few people were trapped inside the showroom whom were later taken out to safety. However, a few of them were reported to be hurt as well.
As per the officials, the accident was reported by local people and immediately several fire tenders were rushed. The team faced a little difficulty to reach in as the streets are narrow and lack space for fire tenders.
An official statement said, “They were trying to completely douse the flames. The fire spread rapidly as the building was stacked with inflatable materials. A probe has been initiated to find out the cause of the fire.”
