New Delhi: The Republic TV Jan Ki Baat exit polls have predicted seats of 48-61 for the AAP, while 9-21 for BJP and 0-1 for the Congress.

This year the voter turnout till 5 pm was 58%.
The voter turnout in the year 2015 was 67.47%.
The AAP had won 67 seats while the BJP had won 3 seats.
Earlier in the day, the polling saw a lot of kerfuffle with Congress leader Alka Lamba trying to slap an AAP worker. Prior to this, she had even been accused of wearing her party symbol outside the poll booth.
AAP and BJP again fought it out on the all-important day as BJP’s Delhi unit chief Manor Tiwari accused Arvind Kejriwal of defiling the idol of Hanuman by garlanding the idol with same hands with which he removed his shoes.
Controversial site of protests Shaheen Bagh saw a very huge turnout, but voters were not happy with the facilities being provided there.
The day also saw the who’s who of India – from President Ram Nath Kovind and the first lady to former President Pranab Mukherjee and former PM Manmohan Singh to the members of the Gandhi family – cast their votes, sending a strong message to the citizens of Delhi that voting is a privilege given to them.
The AAP fought the elections with Arvind Kejriwal as the most prominent figure and his ‘pro-society’ works such as improving the quality of schools and government hospitals. But the BJP had put out photos of how mediocre the hospitals and schools were.
The saffron party, on the other hand, the BJP had not put out any chief ministerial candidate. Rather, it has cleverly handled the issue, saying every citizen of Delhi is a CM’s face.
