New Delhi: The schools of the National Capital Region (NCR) outside are continuously proving their mettle for the past few years, securing the top positions in the CBSE results.

Like 2017 and 2018, this year again, a student of a school of the NCR has topped in the Class 12th examination. This trend has exposed the hollow claims of posh south Delhi schools that charge exorbitant fees, seek hefty donations and, even after getting all the support, fail to produce toppers.

This year also, Hansika Shukla from DPS Ghaziabad and Karishma Arora from SVM Muzaffarnagar ranked first after securing 499 marks out of 500.

Similarly, in 2018, Meghna Srivastava, student of a school in Noida, had topped in Class 12 results. The second topper, Anoushka Chandra, was from the NCR too: Ghaziabad.

As for the toppers of 2017, Raksha Gopal, a student of a school in Noida, had topped the exam. In fact, Sukriti Gupta, who had topped in 2016 in the Class 12 exam, was from a not-so-famous school of north-west Delhi.

On the other side, south Delhi, which has India’s most prestigious schools like the DPS, Modern School, Springdales and also a dedicated school for kids of bureaucrats, Sanskriti School, have been failing continuously in helping their students be toppers in the CBSE board exam results.

This year, the only Delhi school that appeared in the list of top 25 students in the CBSE Class 12 results is the Vasant Valley School.

On the other hand, in the same list, there are six students of schools in NCR outside Delhi that has topped in the CBSE class 12 results.
