In the spotlight amidst viral Holi videos, the girls from Noida are grappling with financial constraints following a hefty Rs 33,000 fine imposed by the Noida Traffic Police. The penalty was issued after the girls were captured in an inappropriate Instagram reel on a moving scooter, breaching traffic regulations. Identified as Preety from Uttarakhand, Vineeta from Noida, and their associate Piyush, the trio expressed regret for their actions, acknowledging the error in creating such reels and pledging not to repeat such conduct. The girls clarified that they were not engaging in stunts but solely producing Instagram reels.
Noida Traffic Police imposed an additional fine of ₹47,500 on three individuals, including two women, for a scooter-riding video shared on social media. An FIR has been filed by local police, following an initial penalty of ₹33,000 for their first video deemed inappropriate in public.
The scooter-owner now faces a total penalty of ₹80,500 for multiple road safety violations. Deputy Commissioner of Police Anil Kumar Yadav emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic regulations, such as wearing helmets and seat belts. Another FIR was lodged against the trio, accusing them of reckless driving, public nuisance, obscenity, and actions endangering others' lives.
Apologizing with humility, they appealed for assistance, citing their inability to cover the fine levied by the authorities. Preety, hailing from Uttarakhand and residing in Delhi, primarily focuses on creating reels. With a purportedly incomplete education and no stable employment, she devotes her time to producing content, boasting two Instagram and YouTube accounts with a combined 12.90 lakh followers. Vineeta, a resident of Noida, faces challenges in securing steady employment due to her inclination towards Instagram reels.
Her video garnering 2 lakh views sparked her interest in producing and sharing social media content. Piyush, the girls' collaborator, is a Delhi resident and a high school graduate who undertakes odd jobs for a livelihood. Assisting the girls in filming Instagram reels, he was the scooter rider in the viral video where the girls engaged in an inappropriate dance routine during Holi. The girls clarified the use of AI in their Delhi metro video, shot within the Red Line Metro. Addressing concerns about obscenity, they admitted that if viewers perceived the content as inappropriate, they also acknowledged the lapse in judgement.
Following the viral video showing the girls dancing on a scooter to the Bollywood song "Ang Laga De," the Noida Traffic Police imposed the Rs 33,000 fine. Criticism ensued online, accusing the girls of promoting indecency under the guise of Holi celebrations. Expressing remorse, the girls vowed to create content appealing to viewers and requested support. Vineeta disclosed leaving her job due to the reel craze and expressed her intent to resume work temporarily before focusing on reel production again. The girls acknowledged their financial struggles and shared that their initial scooter video marked the beginning of their learning journey.
