Modi cast his vote at a polling booth in Ranip, Ahmedabad on Tuesday.

All 26 constituencies of Gujarat are witnessing polling in the third phase of the general election on Tuesday.

Prime Minister Modi is known to be extremely close to his mother and had sought her blessings before every big battle.

Modi has time and again talked about his humble roots and the crucial role his mother played in his success.

Modi has been an irresistible force in Gujarat since becoming the chief minister in 2001. Modi has continued to be a force to reckon with in Gujarat even after becoming the PM and moving away from Gujarat's chief ministership.
