Bengaluru: The teaser of Sudeep starrer movie Pailwan has come out and within three hours it clocked over three million views on YouTube.
Pailwan is the story of a wrestler and not much about the plot is known yet. But in the teaser, Sudeep looks stunning as a wrestler. However, this is a desi wrestling played in mud. Sudeep's scene where he brings his opponent to the ground has won accolades.
The movie is directed by S Krishna and is produced by his wife Swapna. Popular Hindi TV actress Akanksha Singh is playing the female lead and music is by Arjun Janya. Cinematography is by Karunakar.
There are similarities between Pailwan and Sultan teasers. The shot of Sudeep walking into the wrestling ring and the fight scene is almost the same as that was seen in Salman Khan’s Sultan. But of course, shot in a different location and angle.
But what's more, the star of Sultan, Salman himself has showered praise on Sudeep. He said, "You have taken what we started to another level."
When Sudeep thanked Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) for introducing him to the outer world, RGV replied again and said, he was lucky to have found Sudeep.
Puri Jagannath was also one of the popular directors to appreciate the Pailwan teaser.
Film critic Taran Adarsh too explained his liking for the teaser in one word 'Wow'.
Kannada actors too took to social media to speak about the Pailwan teaser.
Other actors to wish Sudeep on Pailwan teaser release were Golden Star Ganesh, Tamil actor-producer Dhanush, Suniel Shetty, Anup Bhandari, Tarun Sudhir, Sumalatha Ambareesh, Prabhudeva, Rishi, Rashmika Mandanna, Manvitha Kamath, Sonu Sood, Parul Yadav, and Rajesh Krishnan.
Meanwhile, Sudeep's wife Priya Radhakrishnan too took to twitter to wish the team good luck.
