#MeToo: Actor Mandana Karimi accuses director Umesh Ghadge of mental harassment

Synopsis

The Iranian actor had also levelled allegations against filmmaker Sajid Khan

Mumbai: After accusing filmmaker Sajid Khan of sexual harassment, Iranian actor Mandana Karimi has lashed out against director Umesh Ghadge.

Karimi shared her experience with him on the sets of Kya Kool Hai Hum 3 saying, "Harassment doesn’t mean to touch me, it means to make my life hell. I was too miserable. I didn’t talk to anybody about it.” The actor detailed her harassment which seemed to stem from differences over casting her in the flick - Ekta Kapoor wanted her in the movie while Ghadge did not.

What followed was mental harassment through incidents such as last minute changes to dance steps, early call times, and demands for her to wear clothes she wasn’t supposed to wear.

The actor reportedly spoke to Ekta and her mother about it all, who were upset about the incident but did not take action right away.
