Chief Minister of Goa Manohar Parrikar passed away after a prolonged battle with pancreatic cancer. Indian stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Anupam Kher and Kamal Haasan have offered condolences.
Goa chief minister Manohar Parrikar breathed his last on Sunday, March 17, at his residence. In February 2018, Parrikar had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Since then, the most popular politician of the state received treatment in American hospitals, the AIIMS in Delhi, and hospitals in Mumbai and Goa. Manohar will be given a state funeral at 4.30 pm today, March 18, in Goa.
Several celebrities Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Anupam Kher, Raveena Tandon, Anupam Kher and Swara Bhasker, to name a few, have offered condolences to the bereaved. South superstar Kamal Haasan has also tweeted condolences.

"Extremely sorry to hear of the passing of Shri Manohar Parrikar, Chief Minister of Goa after an illness borne with fortitude and dignity. A three-time Chief Minister of Goa, Parrikar had been in and out of the hospitals since February last year. It was in October that the state government made a formal announcement about the BJP leader suffering from a pancreatic ailment.
