Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao recently engaged in a conversation about the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the film industry while promoting their upcoming film, 'Laapataa Ladies.'

During the ABP Ideas of India Summit 3.0, Aamir Khan expressed his views on AI, emphasizing its pervasive influence. He stated, 'We will continue to see new kinds of technology around us. AI is taking the world by storm.' Khan, known for his inclination towards storytelling, acknowledged his technological lag but emphasized the inevitability of technological advancement. He asserted, 'You cannot curb a new technology. There’s no need to stop it either. You have to learn to evolve with it.'

Echoing Khan's sentiments, Kiran Rao concurred that AI is an unstoppable force. She highlighted its potential in aiding various tasks, from assisting school children to writing and editing. Rao emphasized the importance of embracing technology and leveraging it effectively.

Their discussion on AI came amidst the promotion of their film, 'Laapataa Ladies,' directed by Kiran Rao and produced by Aamir Khan in collaboration with Jyoti Deshpande under Aamir Khan Productions and Kindling Productions. The film, set to release on March 1st, 2024, features Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastav, and Ravi Kishan in lead roles. Based on an award-winning story by Biplab Goswami, with screenplay and dialogues by Sneha Desai, and additional dialogues by Divyanidhi Sharma, the film promises an intriguing narrative.

Rao shared insights into the genesis of 'Laapataa Ladies,' revealing that the idea stemmed from a one-liner provided by Aamir Khan. She expressed her immediate fascination with the concept, recognizing its potential for compelling storytelling.
