Actress Katrina Kaif had once referred to Samlan Khan as her 'big brother' after their split. This happened during the promotion of the movie Jab Tak Hai Jaan in Kolkata.
Katrina attended the inaugural function of Kolkata Film Festival with Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma when a question was asked to her about Salman.
The couple had already split and Katrina had told that Salman was like a “big brother” to her.
But surprisingly, even after the breakup, Salman continued to address Katrina as “family”.
Katrina's closeness to Ranbir Kapoor on the sets of Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani led to Katrina-Salman's breakup.
It is said that not wanting to confront Salman, Katrina just sent an SMS that it was over from her side. She was shooting with Ranbir in Ooty at the time.
It is said that Salman was furious but they remained friends and are still very good friends.
Recently too, at Da-Bangg Tour Pune, Katrina was seen speaking freely to anchor Manish Paul, when Salman was seen angry.
