Chennai: Superstar Rajinikanth’s younger daughter, Soundarya, got married to actor-businessman Vishagan Vanangamudi on Monday in Chennai. As soon as the pictures and videos came out on the internet, netizen also started sharing the joyful moments.
Post the wedding, the families threw a lavish reception in the evening where the bigwigs of the film industry and the country were present at the party. Political leaders including CM Edappadi K. Palaniswami , Kamal Haasan, DMK leaders MK Stalin and the state’s chief minister K Palaniswami were present to given their blessing to the newly wed couple.
Soundarya looked ravishing in a red bridal lehenga by Sabyasachi Mukherjee along with diamond and gold jewellery. On the other hand, the groom Vishagan looked dapper in a white and black formal western suit.
Bollywood actor Kajol, who Soundarya directed in VIP 2, also made it to the reception. Both twinned at the event and were all smiles while posing for the shutterbugs.

In the wedding, the bride was wearing a beautiful gold-pink silk zari saree, Soundarya is seen being escorted into the mandapam by her sister Aishwarya Dhanush. The groom, clad in a pattu veshti (silk dhoti) is seen beaming. The wedding was held at The Leela Palace in MRC Nagar, and the family has been keeping the event low-key.
Celebrity make-up artist Prakruthi Ananth recently posted a gorgeous photo of Soundarya donning her wedding attire. Her traditional braid, smoked out liner and custom raspberry lipstick have left us stunned. She is adorned in sparking diamonds, from crowning jewellery, necklaces to kamar bandh and bangles.
From Tamil Nadu CM Edappadi K. Palaniswami to all the leading celebrities from across India attended the wedding and reception ceremonies.

Attending the function were a host of Tamil film personalities such as Mohan Babu, Vishnu Manchu, Prabhu, Vikram Prabhu, Andrea Jeremiah and Manjima Mohan, among others, graced the function. Filmmakers like P Vasu, KS Ravikumar, Selvaraghavan and Kasthuri Raja also attended the wedding. Aditi Rao Hydari, who works both in Tamil and Hindi films was also present.
Rajinikanth’s immediate family including son-in-law Dhanush, daughter Aishwarya, nephew Anirudh Ravichander among others were spotted at the function.
