Choreographer-actor Punit Pathak has emerged as the winner of the ninth season of the adventure-reality show "Khatron Ke Khiladi".

In the grand finale, Punit, competing with Aditya Narayan and Ridhima Pandit, performed better than the duo to bag the title.

"Nothing comes easy for me, this win was due to sheer hard work, focus, determination and self believe. It feels great to be crowned as the ultimate winner of Khatron Ke Khiladi 9. He took home prize money of Rs 20 lakh and a Swift car. While Aditya was the first runner-up, Ridhima Pandit bagged the third position.

The final episode saw some breathtaking stunts that kept the viewers at the edge of their seats. From the aerial stunt that Aditya aced, to the underwater stunt that viewed the intense fight between Shamita Shetty and Punit J Pathak, the finalists put up an excellent show in the grand finale episode.

The winner was chosen by a final stunt that was performed by the top three finalists. The final stunt that was a visual delight involved a car, a troller, a chopper and a blast. The grand finale also saw the original Khiladi Akshay Kumar performing a spectacular stunt.

"Punit Pathak has been a well deserving winner as he fought all odds and took all the challenges head-on. I am extremely proud of every contestant who bravely fought their fears. Together we had a great time and a memorable experience," he added.
