Saharanpur: The general election witnessed a tragedy during its first phase on Thursday when a woman died after casting her vote in Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur.
The woman fell down unconscious after walking out of a polling station in Azgarpur, Thana Mirzapur area, Sahranpur.
She was rushed to the hospital but died on the way. The deceased woman is a 50-year-old lawyer.
Uttar Pradesh has gone to polls on Thursday in the first phase of the general election. From the state 80 MPs will be sent to the Lok Sabha.
