Mizoram elections 2018: Early trends show MNF lead, Congress might lose last bastion in Northeast

New Delhi: The counting of votes for the 40-member Mizoram assembly began at 8 am on Tuesday, amid elaborate security arrangements. The Congress and the MNF fielded 40 candidates each while the BJP contested in 39 seats. There are a total of 209 candidates, including 15 women.
