Election results 2019 highlights: BJP sweeps the polls, opposition accepts defeat

Summary

Counting of votes for Lok Sabha polls is all set to begin at 8 AM on Thursday. This year over 8,000 candidates were in the fray for 542 seats. The election was conducted in seven phases where 67.11% of the 90.99 crore electors had cast their vote.
