Bomb blast injures 3 Trinamool workers in Murshidabad amid election hustle

Synopsis

Voting for the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections is underway in Murshidabad, Balurghat, Maldaha Uttar, Maldaha Dakshin and Jangipur constituencies of Bengal.

Murshidabad/New Delhi: At least three Trinamool workers were injured in Bengal's Murshidabad district after a crude bomb was hurled at them in Domkal Municipality ward number seven on Tuesday. The victims have been identified as Tujam Ansari, Masadul Islam and Mallick Mondal.

The police said, "Among the injured, one person is a husband of Domkal's councillor. The injured have been admitted to Murshidabad Medical college hospital".

The TMC has fielded Abu Taher Khan as its candidate from Murshidabad against BJP's Humayun Kabir.

Voting for the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections is underway in Murshidabad, Balurghat, Maldaha Uttar, Maldaha Dakshin and Jangipur constituencies of Bengal.
