New Delhi: Social media was today (September 12) abuzz with speculations over MS Dhoni’s retirement from international cricket after India captain Virat Kohli tweeted a throwback picture saluting the former skipper.
Now, BCCI selection panel MSK Prasad has clarified about Dhoni’s future in limited-overs cricket.

“No update on MS Dhoni's retirement, the news is incorrect,” Prasad was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

Earlier in the day, Kohli tweeted a picture of him saluting Dhoni during the World T20 2016 match against Australia in Mohali.
“A game I can never forget. Special night. This man, made me run like in a fitness test @msdhoni,” Kohli tweeted to his 31 million-plus followers on Twitter.
This tweet triggered plenty of comments. And #Dhoni was trending on Twitter with many fans disappointed over the impending news of the wicketkeeper-batsman’s retirement.
Now, they all can heave a sigh of relief.
Dhoni had retired from Test cricket in 2014 during the tour of Australia. He is the only captain to win all three ICC trophies (World T20 in 2007, World Cup in 2011, Champions Trophy in 2013).
The 38-year-old Dhoni is not part of the India T20I squad that will face South Africa in three matches from September 15.
