Adelaide: Pakistan leg-spinner Yasir Shah has opened on the heartwarming incident where an Indian taxi driver refused to take money from him and his teammates after a ride in Brisbane.
An Indian cab driver ferried five Pakistani cricketers and did not charge them. However, the cricketers insisted on paying but when he refused to take money, he was invited to join for dinner with them at an Indian restaurant.

Now, Yasir has spoken about the incident in a video shared by the official Twitter handle of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
“We were not aware of any Indian or Pakistani restaurants in Brisbane. So when we five teammates stepped out — Imran Khan, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Musa, Shaheen Shah Afridi and I — we called a taxi," Shah said in the video.
“The driver was a Paaji from India. We told him to take us to a nice restaurant. He recognised us and we chitchatted in Urdu about cricket. He refused to take the fare from us when we reached the restaurant. I told him, 'You either have to take the fare or have dinner with us.' So he agreed for the dinner,” he added.
Yasir, who took Steve Smith’s wicket in the Brisbane Test, said the driver was happy to click pictures with them.
“He was very happy that we invited him to dinner and also clicked pictures with us,” Yasir said.
The story was first shared by Australian broadcaster and journalist Alison Mitchell while talking to former Australian fast bowler Mitchell Johnson on ABC Radio.
Pakistan lost the opening Test of the two-match series in Brisbane. Now, they face Australia in the second Test from November 29 in Adelaide. It will be a day/night game.
