Coronavirus: Bengaluru’s IPL team RCB, Virat Kohli salute frontline heroes for ‘playing bold’ (Video)

Bengaluru: India and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli on Friday (April 17) saluted the frontline heroes and fans for “playing bold” in the fight against the coronavirus (COVID-19).

On his Twitter account, Kohli tweeted a video where IPL franchise RCB are talking about how tough the year 2020 has been and saluted all the frontline workers involved in the fight against the virus.

“We salute all the frontline heroes and YOU for Playing Bold in the fight against COVID-19. Take social distancing seriously. #StayHomeSaveLives #PlayBold (sic),” Kohli wrote with the video.

The 105-second video features RCB players Kohli, AB de Villiers, Yuzvendra Chahal, Umesh Yadav, Dale Steyn, Moeen Ali, Navdeep Saini and others. The message in the video is “you stay in and stay not out”.

The video ends with the message, “RCB salutes all the frontline heroes and you for playing bold in the fight against COVID-19. Take social distancing seriously, stay home, stay safe. Play Bold.”

Currently, India is under a lockdown until May 3. The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) has been suspended till “further notice”, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said on Thursday (April 17). IPL 2020 was scheduled to start on March 29.

Earlier, Kohli and his actress wife Anushka Sharma had donated money to ‘Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund’ (PM CARES Fund) to help India fight against the coronavirus.
