'Learn at your nearest OYO' model will organise after-school education across the country with 400 learning centers across all the 7 Indian metros currently with the help of PlanetSpark
OYO Hotels and Homes and PlanetSpark, EdTech startup have partnered to promote education. OYO is all set to offer its space in OYO Townhouse across the country for PlanetSpark to set up more than 500 ‘new age’ learning centres for children.
Under the 'Learn at your nearest OYO' model, these centres will focus on learning needs of neighbourhood children studying from kindergarten to class 8. Funded by FIITJEE, India’s test prep company, PlanetSpark's vision is to organise after-school education across the country with 400 learning centers across all the 7 Indian metros currently.
“Through our interactions with OYO team we realised that OYO too had plans to scale up their supply over the next few months. We, therefore, felt that instead of putting in our efforts separately, it will be beneficial to join hands to have a force multiplier. Also, we only wanted to partner with a trusted brand where parents can send their children without any safety concern," said Kunal Malik, co-founder of PlanetSpark.
After spearheading budget hotel franchising and leasing segment, OYO is on a mission to offer quality spaces to promote education.

PlanetSpark also owns an app, where parents have access to content loaded with thousands of learning games, cartoons, videos, quests, and quizzes. The content here is can be customised and adapted to suit every student's learning pattern. PlanetSpark plans to use these new centres at OYO as “a student can learn anything” model under the expert guidance of teachers in every corner of India.
PlanetSpark co-founder Maneesh Dhooper said, "In K8 space, an inspiring learning space in the neighbourhood is a ‘must have’ for the parent and currently no organised player exists that solves this need. The new initiative with OYO is already a big hit with the parents and we are witnessing a major spike in enrollments.”
