A day after Tanushree Dutta made serious allegations of sexual harassment against Nana Patekar on the sets of Horn 'Ok' Pleassss,  popular Bollywood choreographer Ganesh Acharya responded to the allegation made by the actress.

In the interview with Zoom TV, Tanushree accused Nana Patekar of misbehaving with her on the sets of the 2008 film, in which she was supposed to do a special dance number. The actress claimed that Nana Patekar made her uncomfortable to the extent that she eventually had to opt out of doing the song. She also said Ganesh Acharya, who was the choreographer of the song, film’s director Rakesh Sarang and producer Samee Siddique ganged up against her, were witness to everything happening, but remained without doing anything about it.

According to News18, Ganesh rubbished Dutta's allegations. He said, “First of all, it’s a very old incident so I can’t really recall everything very clearly. But it was a duet song as far as I remember. Something did happen that day because the shooting was also stalled for over three hours. There was some sort of misunderstanding. But I can confirm that nothing of this sort happened. It’s a wrong statement that Nana ji called members of some political party on the sets. It never happened.”

On claims against Patekar, Acharya said, “He’s a very sweet person, he can never do that. He is very helpful and he has actually helped a lot of artistes in the industry. He can never do anything like that.”

On the other hand, in an interview to ANI, Tanushree Dutta reacted to Ganesh Acharya's statement on Nana Patekar's non-involvement in the issue. Dutta claimed, "He's a bloody liar and is a two-faced person. He's going to say all that. And 10 years ago, he was one of those people who were equally complicit in the harassment. He won't admit it."

She said, "My fight is not with Nana Patekar or Ganesh Acharya. I don't want them to work. I want them to suffer the consequences of their actions."

Journalist Janice Sequeira in a Twitter thread claimed to have been present on the scene when Tanushree’s alleged harassment took place. She wrote that she could back up most of what Tanushree had alleged in her statements.

MyNation reached out to Nana Patekar, but he didn't respond. We'll update the story as and when he gets back.
