A recent video shows a woman sprawled out luxuriously inside an overhead luggage section on a Southwest Airlines aircraft from Albuquerque, Mexico, to Phoenix, US, on May 6.

The video, which was first released on TikTok, shows an unidentified woman sleeping calmly in the storage area, while people can be heard giggling uncontrollably in the background. The motivation for using the overhead bin as a makeshift bed, as well as how she got to the top, remains unknown.

It is unclear whether the woman was a part of the crew or a guest, but her behavior has sparked suspicion online. People were also worried about how she managed to get into the storage area.

The woman and the airline have not yet commented on the viral footage. The video instantly went viral and received over 34,000 views after being published by the New York Post on Instagram.

Interestingly, this is not the first time someone has been discovered sleeping or hiding in a plane's luggage compartment; similar events have occurred with other airlines in the past. In the comments area on social media, some are asking if the woman was a passenger or a crew member.

However, this isn't the first time something like this has happened. In 2023, a passenger on a Ryanair flight to Ibiza, Spain, was discovered sleeping in an overhead storage bin.

As he exited the overhead bin, the man was seen on video laughing.
