Daily Wage Laborer's Daughter Becomes IAS

Aswathy from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, decided in the eighth grade that she would become an IAS officer. Her father was a daily wage laborer and her mother a homemaker.

Quit her job in 2017

Aswathy got a job at TCS during engineering, but she quit in 2017 to prepare for UPSC.

Secured 481st Rank

She failed in the first three attempts but did not give up. Finally, she got selected in 2020 and secured 481st rank.
