Riyaz lost his hands and a leg while saving the life of a girl, and received gallantry awards
9-year-old Riyaz lost his one leg and hands in an accident when he was trying to save a little girl. Post that incident, he was invited to attend various events nationally and internationally and was honoured with several bravery awards. Despite his miserable condition, the government has not provided him with any financial assistance. He runs a general store to support his family.

The young kids were busy playing when they saw something suspicious floating in the water and fetched it out only to have found a baby shivering from cold inside of it. The police were called, and the baby was handed over to the authorities.
