Success Story IAS Aradhana Chauhan: Films are often seen as mere entertainment, but Aradhana Chauhan from Indore proves they can change lives. After facing disappointment in four UPSC attempts, a movie rekindled her dreams, and now she's an IAS officer in Rajasthan.

Repeated Failures on the Path to Becoming an IAS

Born in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, and raised in Indore, 27-year-old Aradhana Chauhan began preparing for the UPSC in 2017. Despite failing thrice, she didn't lose hope. Alongside her studies, she appeared for MP Employee Selection Commission exams and even secured a job in a corporate company in Pune in 2019.

'12th Fail' Movie: A Turning Point

In 2023, she attempted the UPSC exam again, hopeful yet apprehensive about the interview. Then she watched the movie '12th Fail,' which ignited her determination. Aradhana says, "The film taught me that no dream is impossible if you have the will, regardless of the circumstances."

Serving in Rajasthan Cadre, Setting an Example

Aradhana has been allocated to the Rajasthan cadre, where she will serve as an IAS officer. She has proven that hard work and patience are the greatest strengths. She conveys the message to the youth that, “Failure is not the end of the journey, but a new lesson.” Notably, Aradhana follows in the footsteps of other officers from Madhya Pradesh, like Tina Dabi, who are serving in Rajasthan. Tina is currently the Collector of Barmer. Thus, daughters of Madhya Pradesh are making a significant mark in Rajasthan's administrative services.
