There are numerous desserts available, and one in particular that virtually everyone cannot resist. That's the chocolatey deliciousness of brownies.  Whoever invented brownies will probably never be known, but they will always remain our favorite dessert or snack.

They are simply wonderful. The rich dark chocolate, the soft texture, and that it's not too dry to eat. It's also quite tasty! Each taste will undoubtedly result in a smile.

Ingredients:
-1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
-2 cups powdered sugar
-1 cup uncooked cocoa
-1 tablespoon vanilla extract
-4 large eggs
-1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
-1/2 teaspoon baking powder
-1/2 teaspoon salt
-1 cup chopped walnuts (such as walnuts or pecans).
-1 cup chocolate chips

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a baking pan with butter paper. In a microwave safe bowl or using a frying pan over medium heat, melt the butter until completely melted.

Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, powdered sugar and cocoa powder. Stir until well combined. Add the vanilla extract and mix into the batter. Beat in eggs, one at a time until mixture is smooth and well combined.

Step 3: Combine all purpose flour, baking powder and salt in a separate bowl.  Be careful not to mix too much. If using nuts and chocolate chips, fold them into the batter until evenly distributed.

Step 4: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading evenly with a spatula. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with wet pieces (not wet batter).

Step 5: Once baked, remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes. Once it has cooled down a bit, you can cut it into squares and serve it warm. Or let cool completely in the pan before slicing for cleaner strips.
