Swachh Survekshan 2023: Top 5 Cleanest Cities and States in India

The results of Swachh Survekshan 2023 were announced on 11 January 2024 by the President Draupadi Murmu. Once again, Indore remained on the first spot. 
 

Indore has secured the title of the cleanest city in the country for an impressive seventh time in a row. 
 

In Swachh Survekshan 2023, Surat in Gujarat has been jointly awarded the top position alongside Indore. 
 

Navi Mumbai secured the third position in the Swachh Survekshan 2023 rankings. 
 

Vishakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh has earned the fourth spot in the list of cleanest cities as per Swachh Survekshan 2023.
 

Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, secured the fifth position for cleanliness in the Swachh Survekshan 2023.
 

Maharashtra was awarded with the title of the cleanest state in the country. Madya Pradesh secured second spot, followed by Chhattisgarh as the third cleanest state.
