A railway station in Uttar Pradesh boasts a distinct feature. Its platform straddles the border area between two districts.
When a platform halts at the platform of this railway station, half of it lies within one district while the other half extends into the border area of another district.
It is situated on the Delhi-Howrah railway route via Kanpur Dehat area. This station falls on the border of Auraiya and Kanpur district.
Due to its interesting location, half of the trains are stationed in Kanpur Dehat while the remaining half in Auraiya district.
The station office of Kanchausi railway station is situated in the border region of Kanpur Dehat.
Initially, only passenger trains made stopovers at this station. Recently, as a trial measure, Farakka Express also makes a stop here.
