How to protect yourself from scams on WhatsApp

WhatsApp has introduced a new feature called Context Cards to protect users from frauds and scams. 
 

It helps users make informed decisions about whether to join certain groups or not. 
 

These Context Cards on WhatsApp show information like the group name, admin details, and the number of members. 
 

This allows users to decide if the group is safe or not. It can help avoid potential fraud and scams. 
 

There’s also a safety tools button, through which you can avoid falling into scams. 
 

Avoid accepting invitations from unknown people. If you sense something suspicious, you can also report the contact. 
 

Do not click on links you receive from unknown contacts. 
 

Before sending money, always confirm with the receiving party if the request for money is genuine, because in many cases, their accounts could also be hacked. 
 

Do not pick up video calls from unknown numbers. A scammer can also disguise as a police official. Hence, never share any personal details through chat or call.
