Atal Setu Bridge: India’s Longest Sea Bridge

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the country’s longest sea bridge, the Atal Setu Bridge. The bridge reduces the travel time between Mumbai and Navi Mumbai by 20 minutes.

The cost

The construction of Atal Setu incurred a cost of approximately Rs 18,000 crore. The vehicles can catch a speed of up to 100 kilometres per hour.

Only for four-wheelers

Atal Setu prohibits the use of bikes, auto rickshaws, and tractors. The construction utilized 177,903 metric tons of steel and 504,253 metric tons of cement.
