Vishakha Yadav: From an Engineering Job to Becoming an IAS officer

Vishakha Yadav was born in Delhi. She holds an Engineering degree from Delhi Technological University. 
 

Post the completion of her graduation, Vishakha Yadav worked in Cisco, Bangalore, for two years. 
 

Vishakha Yadav aspired to become an IAS officer. In the year 2017, quitting her high-paying job, she pursued UPSC.
 

For more than three years, Vishakha maintained a distance from social media. She enrolled in coaching classes for a year and spent a lot of time studying in libraries. 
 

Vishakha Yadav failed to clear the preliminary examination in her first two attempts.
 

In the year 2019, Vishakha appeared for the UPSC exams for the third time and successfully secured an impressive 6th rank.
 

Vishakha’s father, Rajkumar Yadav is an ASI, and her mother, Sarita Yadav is a homemaker. 
 

Vishakha shares that despite her friends getting married, her parents never pressured her into marriage and instead inspired her to do better professionally.
