Preeti Chandavasia loved making handmade wedding cards. She used her creativity to venture into entrepreneurship.
Preeti shared pictures of her handmade envelopes on social media and received a large number of orders.
Over time, Preeti started receiving substantial orders, especially during festive seasons.
Preeti established her own event management company and named it ‘Srijan Creation.’
Preeti receives assignments from various districts and states. She has organized theme based events in Bihar, Nepal, and Lucknow.
The District Magistrate of Basti, Priyanka Bharti gave the responsibility of organizing her child’s birthday event to Preeti.
Preeti’s work involves travelling from one location to another. She manages approximately 8 to 10 events in a month.
In 2003, Preeti received her first order of making 40 Santa Claus figurines. She earned Rs 1600 from her first assignment.
Graudually, with the increasing workload, Preeti hired over a dozen people to work with. Her business now supports the livelhihoods of 80 households.
