She is a resident of Charmudiya village in Dhamtari district of Chhattisgarh. She makes a substantial income through farming while providing employment to over 100 people.
Smrika Chandrakar’s goal is to empower women by giving them employment. She wishes to raise awareness about farming practices as well.
Smrika Chandrakar earned a BE degree in Computer Science. She also pursued an MBA degree from Pune.
Post the completion of her studies, Smrika Chandrakar found a job at an MNC with an annual package of Rs 15 lakh. Despite a lucrative career, she decided to turn to farming.
Smrika Chandrakar transformed her father’s 19-acre land into Dhara Krishi Farm. With modern farming methods, she has been able to reap profits from the agricultural land.
