Meet Chitraang Murdia

Chitraang Murdia achieved AIR 1 in JEE Advanced 2014. His remarkable performance made headlines & he went on to pursue a degree in Computer Science at IIT Bombay.

While studying at IIT Bombay, Chitraang discovered that his true passion was not in computer science but in physics, with a particular interest in quantum theory research.

To pursue his passion, Chitraang made the decision to leave IIT Bombay. His decision took his friends and family by surprise.

People criticized his decision to give up a high-paying job, but Chitraang ignored the comments and stayed focused on his passion.

Following his passion, Chitraang enrolled at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he was awarded a scholarship to study.

After completing his Bachelor's degree in Physics from MIT, Chitraang Murdia went on to earn his PhD. from the University of California, Berkeley in 2023.

Chitraang is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Pennsylvania, where he is pushing the boundaries of physics through his research.
