Kanji Chaiwala is tirelessly working to create a plastic-free environment in Bisalpur village in Pali district of Rajasthan.
Kanji Chaiwala encourages the villagers to exchange single-use plastic for essential items, fostering a positive initiative in the village.
He has employed an innovative idea where he accepts bundles of single-use-plastic and returns items like plants, pots, pens, pencils, notebooks, oil, sugar etc in exchange.
His idea has urged people to collect their plastics responsibly. Then, he sends them to recycling plants.
He teaches them about the detrimental effects of the usage of plastic.
His family members were worried about him experiencing loss in his work but Kanji Chaiwala kept working towards his goal.
Today, the villages actively support his cause.
Kanji Chaiwala’s ultimate aim is to motivate the youth to combat single-use plastic.
