Vice President of India Calls For Action To Address Gender Inequality In Journalism
The Vice President of India, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu on 28th November called for ending the gender discrimination and ensuring safety security, and dignity of the women. Speaking at the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of Indian Women Press Corps, he said that it was the collective responsibility of the governments, media and civil society to ensure that women were made equal partners in the developmental process of the nation.

UN report claims women journalists in India denied fair share
According to a UN report entitled “Gender Inequality in Indian Media” which stated that women journalists are still denied their fair share, 26.3% top jobs were held by women at online portals, while TV channels employed 20.9% and magazines 13.6% women in leadership positions

Sabarimala temple row: Woman journo attempts entry, 30 priests close door to temple in protest (Video)
A police team commanded by the IG Sreejith attempted taking woman journalist Kavitha of Mojo TV to the shrine. 30 priests of temple stopped the pooja, sat on dharna near 18 steps. Main tanthri (priest) and melshanthi are not part of this protest.
