As President Ram Nath Kovind presented Nari Shakti Puraskar awards on Women’s Day 2020, the awardees narrated their stories

On the occasion of Women’s Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted women and saluted the spirit and accomplishments of women power. 

Putting all the speculations to rest, PM Modi put out a tweet, saying he would give his accounts to women who inspire us on March 8 which is International Women’s Day. 

Women's Day is celebrated across the world on March 8 every year and is considered the focal point in the movement for women's rights. Look how different airlines are observing the occasion.

This year, the Nari Shakti Puraskar has also been awarded to a One Stop Centre (OSC) and to a state which has shown exceptional progress in improving child sex ratio at birth under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme. The Ministry of women and child development is establishing OSCs for violence-affected women in all districts of the country
