India's 16-year-old sensation Shafali Verma now has the highest strike-rate in Women's T20Is. The opening batter has scored 438 runs in the shortest format of the game at a strike-rate of 147.97 and has surpassed South Africa's Chloe Tryon and Australia's Alyssa Healy. The official handle of the T20 World Cup posted the stat on Twitter and captioned the post as: "Highest career strike rates in women's T20Is (min. 200 runs)--Shafali Verma - 438 runs at 147.97, Chloe Tryon - 722 runs at 138.31, Alyssa Healy - 1,875 runs at 129.66, the 16-year-old is top of the tree". India entered the semifinals of the women's T20 World Cup after Shafali Verma's 34-ball 46 followed by a superlative performance from the bowlers helped the team notch up a narrow four-run win over New Zealand in Melbourne on Thursday.

A 12-year old Mumbai student, Kaamya Karthikeyan recently set a record of becoming the youngest in the world to summit Mt. Aconcagua, the highest peak of the Andes Mountains in Argentina, South America. Kaamya, a Class VII student of Navy Children School, achieved the feat atop the 6962 metres tall mountain on February 1 where she unfurled the Indian Tricolour. No stranger to tall mountains, Kaamya had summited Ladakh's 6,260 metres Mt. Mentok Kangri II, under extreme cold weather conditions on August 24, 2019. The Rich History Of Brihadeeswarar Or Big Temple In Thanjavur
After 23 years, the 6th mega consecration ceremony also known as Kumbabishekam took place today at the Brihadeeswarar Temple or the Big Temple in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. The last event held in 1997 was delayed by a day as a massive fire engulfed the yagasalai leading to the death of 40 people in a stampede. The rituals were carried out both in Tamil and Sanskrit, after the court ordered to hold rituals and pujas in accordance with the agama principles. A team of Odhuvars recited the Thevaram, Thiruvasagam, Thirumurai and other hymns in Tamil during the consecration. It's official. Bengaluru is the world's most traffic congested city. Believe it or not, the time spent by Bengalureans on the road in 2019 is equivalent to the time taken in planting 244 trees, watching 215 episode of Game of Thrones or watching 139 football matches! According to a report by TomTom, the Netherlands-based global provider of navigation, traffic and map products, India’s startup hub beat 415 other cities across 57 countries to earn the title in 2019. The report said: Bengaluru takes the top spot this year with drivers in the southern Indian city expecting to spend an average of 71% extra travel time stuck in traffic.
