KM Mammen Mappillai was the first Indian entrepreneur from the time of independence. In 1946, he started making balloons under a makeshift shed in Tiruvottiyur, Madras. In 1952, KM Mammen Mappillai established the foundation of MRF. The market capitalization of MRF is more than Rs 33,000 crore.

Ghazal Alagh, the Co-Founder of Mamaearth, established a company with a desire to make chemical-free products available in the market. She co-founded the company with her husband in the year 2016, with an initial investment of Rs 25 lakh. The company began with just 5 products and has since expanded to over 500 products.

Jharkhand’s Kamdev Pan received his education from local villages and colleges. His fascination with science and technology inspired him to launch his own brand of e-bikes. He manufactures e-bikes and sells them all over the country. Currently, he is working on his dream project of building a drone car.

Satyanarayan was born in Rajasthan. He discontinued his education due to financial constraints. In 1977, he started working with a dealer of explosives. In 1995, he started his own manufacturing unit and years later he became the fourth largest producer of explosives.
