Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping reached the Taj Fisherman's Cove Resort and Spa for an informal summit. This is the second day that the two leaders are meeting. They are expected to discuss various international and regional issues but no MoUs are expected to come out of the meeting.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping met for the informal summit in Mahabalipuram’s Taj Fisherman’s Cove Resort and Spa. The two leaders are slated to hold one-on-one as well as delegation-level talks in the historic coastal city today.

According to a statement released by the ministry of external affairs, the informal summit provides an opportunity for the two leaders - PM Modi and Xi Jinping - to continue their discussions on overarching issues of bilateral, regional and global importance and to exchange views on deepening India-China Closer Development Partnership.
